NClear Inc. has added technology expertise to its Board of Directors with the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey Whalen. Jeff holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Florida State University, where he also works as the STEM Entrepreneur in Residence at the Jim Moran School of Entrepreneurship. Jeff has also served as Research Faculty at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, the largest and highest-powered magnet lab in the world, since 2012. Jeff is also a successful entrepreneur and founder of several companies, including Magnetics Corporation and Specialized Crystal Processing Inc., and has consulted for NClear through his firm Whalen Consulting.
Jeff has extensive expertise in crystalline materials growth and processing, nanotechnologies and commercialization of scientific discoveries. He is expert in several analytical technologies that are used in the development of NClear technologies, including optical microscopy, simultaneous thermogravimetric analysis/differential scanning calorimetry (TGA/DSC-SDT), and transmission and scanning electron miocroscopy/energy dispersive spectrometry (TEM/SEM/EDS). Jeff holds 4 patents, and has numerous peer-reviewed publications.
